Assistant Professor of Art – Ceramics at the University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, AR

University of the Ozarks invites applications for a current opening in the Art program as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art specializing in Ceramics, beginning July 2025. Candidates must be motivated to work with students from all disciplines and majors, complementing the current faculty in Art. This position is a 4:4 load, teaching twenty-four (24) credit hours per academic year. Candidates should have knowledge of a diverse range of approaches in the field of ceramics while also having teaching competencies in sculpture and art history. They will be responsible for maintaining and managing the 3D studio spaces and equipment.

The ideal applicant for this position would hold an MFA or MA in Art-Ceramics from an accredited university. Preference will be given to applicants with higher education teaching experience who are active in their ceramics practice. Applicants with a minimum of two years of exceptional professional practice, a bachelor’s degree in Ceramics from an accredited institution, and who will have acquired a terminal degree in Ceramics or a related field from an accredited institution in Spring 2025 may also be considered.
