The desert is full of color and life. In this seemingly barren land, water means survival for all wildlife and fauna in the drastic change of heat and freezing temperatures. The planter series was inspired by the fauna of the High Desert landscape reflecting the harsh earth environment in my shapes and glazes.

The organic designs of the “Fungoid Series” stem from the fungi here in the desert.

Mushrooms inhabit every ecosystem on earth, and many of these fascinating organisms tolerate extreme environments such as deserts.

Unique Design

In order for your home plants to survive and to “time release” the water to the plants, I designed a unique set of planters inspired not only by the local vegetation but also with a functionality of a slow water supply not to over or under water your plants. This system continuously nourishes the plant, as it stores the water in a chamber “tray” to refill through a hole from below. It allows the water to be store, yet it won’t evaporate and the critters cannot get to it either.
