My name is Jacob Jackson and I am a professor of ceramics and sculpture at Brigham Young University, Hawaii. In addition to ceramics and sculpture I teach classes on contemporary art and aesthetics. I am interested in writing an article about the Japanese ceramic artist En Iwamura. His work if Exuberant and whimsical with clear influence from artists like Jun Kaneko and Yoshitomo Nara. His work is also inspired by traditional Japanese ceramics. He calls his style “Neo Jomon”. Iwamura is an emerging tallent who is poised to be an internationally acclaimed ceramic artist and I am sure that the readership of Ceramics Now would love to learn more about him!
